Good family life is never an accident but always an achievement by those who share it.” - James H. S. Bossard

Perhaps these scenarios sound familiar to you -
Ryan is a third grader and is already saying, “Mom, I don’t want to do my homework. It’s too hard and I’m tired.” That’s the third battle you’ve had with him this week , you’ve tried everything you know to solve the problem  and nothing works.

Your seventh grade daughter comes home angry and emotional and with much prodding, eventually says, “The girls at my school are so mean. They start rumors about me and now my best friend won’t even talk to me. I don’t want to go back there anymore.” You’ve tried everything including calling the school. What else can you do? Do you have a solution that will empower her?

Something keeps nagging at the back of your mind. You’re afraid your six year old may be having adjustment problems and without a good idea of how to help her through it, you just let it go.
